My Office is getting a new package from Dhiraagu that gives the members in the group to talk to each other for free 24/7. There is no info of it on dhiraagu website, package called "closed user group". well, not really free but have to pay Mrf75 per month. Also can take additinal number(biteh, spouse etc) to join the group, that makes 150 bucks. Office guys holding onto wataniya is willing to give their free numbers from the package thus it rocks,hehe

Today from 8:30am to 8:50am where hundreds people was stuck at vilimale terminal because of inadequate ferry to fill the demand. Lots of School children and people going to office was late due to this. MTCC takes no responsibility for those that were late and even thought MTCC had given an early report from TVM that services this year ramazan will be better than previous years. The queing problem arose due to the fact that govt change the timing for school children and office goers to attend at the same time, ie:9 o'clock sharp.

An unlisted phone number. 3300831. Today some guy called me from this number saying that he's from an organisation thats taking Polls for the upcoming "system" election. Previously these guys had called some of my friends, saying that they are from a "group of students from abroad taking a survey" for the upcoming "system" election, a load of crap... who the hell are these people?? They arent what they telling. There was lots of people chattering in the back ground in the conversation, probably doing the same, calling to random mobiles from dhiraagu directory.
well, this guy goes on saying how much 'Riyaasy(presidential system)' is better than 'barulamaany(parliamnetary system)', telling about Husnu-Suood had changed his heart about both systems, etc etc. Dr Shaheed and SunTravel shiyam also voicing for parliamntary etc etc It was a long call, guess money didnt matter, just wondering who these guys were.. does any1 else know any info? this number "3300831" is always busy..

Cycles selling out fast, thanks to bogus rumor

All the cycles from the cycle dealers are selling out like hot rock concert tickets, thanks to a selling strategy by the major cycle dealers in male’, due to misleading information published in the Haveeru daily news about the cycles duty levy going to rocket sky high at the start of this new year, this have let to people tending to buy cycles before such a law comes into action. There was two articles published on two successive days about the cycle stock being sold out and prices of cycle might get raised with proportion to duty increase so there is a lot of demand now.As Haveeru beta is still little messed up, I can’t seem to find the articles. Tried searching “ޝީޝާ’ but no results.
Its was rumored that the duty rate was going to increase to 200% for cycles so I called a close friend in Customs who assured me that Wave cycles which have 125cc and 110cc was not going to be affected by the increase in duty. The affect is going to be on cycles having more than 150cc. Ordinary Pulse cycles have 149cc. I didn’t believe him at first but he told me it was already approved like that and don’t know when the new law would come into action as it has got to be passed by the parliament.
Amendments are known from the new revenue measures as seen here.
Last week when I came to Male’ from viligili, I saw a huge crowd watching people who were taking test for new license. My bro have bought a new cycle through moms help. My cousin has taken a new cycle. Two of my office close buddies also have taken. A known fact is some are taking the low loan from bank to buy cycles.
This tiny Male' is also facing negative effects due to reckless driving and vehicle over-crowdedness. Its a challenging issue we r facing. But wat2do,have a lookat here. The most fatal accident prone places in Maldives these days r Addu, Male', Fuamulah. This picture gallery got some pics from laddu, here its horrific. I think a gud suggestion may be having a racing track with safty provisioned high speed cars. There r people in maldives who can afford to do this as a business in one of those uninhabited islands...

Need ur advice in solving this matter for a very close friend of mine.
Here’s his situation. Read and pls give a positive feed back. Thanks a lot in advance.

The situation goes as follows. The married couple is facing difficulties from wifes ex-boy friend. The friend tells me his story and I’ve translated to eng.

“This nutty person was my wifes Ex-bf. He says he’s kyping contact with her just as pals but beats me y he keeps on calling her despite her objections. I had to step inside this issue so I told him clearly that his actions r wrong and if there’s anything he needs to convey, just tell it to me upfront without calling her. Thus, after sometimes he calls me and advisers me saying what a gud girl im having and never to leave or make her feel bad. I didn’t need to listened to this bullshit talk but didn’t want to make it an issue as in fact we got married in love and is happy with our life.
This Eid (yesterday), this bugger calls her despite mine and hers objections. She quickly handed me the phone, I warned him never to call again. But this imbecile tells me its none of my business and wud call her as he wishes. I kept my coolness but this was the last straw. In 3 or 4 phone calls I gave him a gud lecture. Even his class mates think he’s a nut case. I I conveyed this msg. I told him that mrs was bright enough to leave him so just to bug off. He started to get violent and tries to retort me to get into a brawl with him. I threatened him and after several words exchange he hangeup. By now I knew he had some screws loose in his brain. Later, being afraid msgs my phn “Thank you for ur valuable advise”.
The next day again this idiot calls me and says my thinking is in the 60’s and not to make women an issue for hatred between men and goes on blabbing. I thought “Screw you!” but didn’t reply to him. after sometime I said. “hello, what ya say??”. The astonishment in his voice was worth million bucks. His 4 mins talk was wasted and he was calling from a wataniya to a dhiraag phn. :D I told him to get a gud life and as he’s having a gf from grade 9 in aminiya School, thus he needs my advise about getting a gud women, I told him Im welcome to meet him and show the tactics to get a gud lady. This made him MAD. Goes into fury of dirty (f***boe) words and hangs up, I just cudnt help but smile. From that day he’s threatening and disturbing us.”

maldives is gonna wash away someday, experts says its less than 50 years.. beats me y some ppl r trying to solve lots of problems(domestic, political etc) just to eventually fail.
Experts says future maldives economy wud be devastated if in the short run the money taken from various sources like tourism (rentmoney of 50 years) are not reinvested in the long term... I just cant comprehend.

This Morning all over Maldives a minute of silence was observed.. Well, i did, but dont know how many else did really do that.

I was astonished when on the radio news i heared that 3049 homes were to be made by the govt but till now only 158 homes could be provided.

I had seen and heared the living standard these victims were facing, its shocking that they had to bear the burden of living without homes and only in Tents for 2 years and STILL COUNTING. Its mostly the Raa.Kandolhudhoo and Thaa.Vilufushi people.

The displaced people living in hulhumale have temporary houses made by steel sheets, I've see them at daytime always outside their steel home, logic is how can people withstand in living in HOT OVEN.

The Radio news said that due to funding from the countries that pledged help didnt fullfill their promise as said.

I had a hard time beleiving that it was such an issue.

In two years time that it should progress this much is really a sad matter.

An assistant who works with a 'member of the disaster management' told me today that people comes to meet this person but he always slips away from answering their questions regarding the matter. Thus actions like this tends to make lots of people in to thinking corruption might be involved. Articles can be seen on the popular anti gov site.

What more can be done to make the progess of helping our bros & sis of the 2004 tsunami??

Its been more than 5 days having this viral sickness but still no avail.
Dont know where i got this as its all over maldives.
Coughing every 30 secs. Even at praying, on the ferry, at office.
Family, friends, even my boss is really concerned about this. Have taken different medicines from different Docs, remedies from Mom & pals, surfed the net for a quick cure, nothing is working.

3 nites have gone by that made me stay awake coughing

There is a 1000mg vitamic C tablet that im taking which easers this trouble. Last nite had the same problem & after drinking hot water, journeyed to kitchen to retreive it, found it EMPTY. Someone had gobbledup my tablets, sheesh, wat2do?

It was a very exciting & eventful trip with shaad, fenthashi, zembe, ayya, & gaffar.

The call came on the nite when i was on a date, i was told to get ready to go on an official trip to outside male'. It was a time i was having some issues with gf, was looking forward for a litle break. The next day i went to office & joined the group. After a briefing by an official, we departed on lauch to airport. Without any delay, a bus took us to a cargo plane. As soon as we boarded, it took off. Next we landed on addu, transiting, had a jeep sight seeing addu as the plane was refueled.

These big holidays are famous for its circumsisioning & follow-up entertainments in those homes all around male' & on the islands. The colorfulness of this ritual may be a litle low in male' but in islands its fantastic. Loud music & decorative lights, 24 hrs movies, boduberu, dance groups, flocks of visitors, great chow for guests, its more like an eid festival.

My nephews had their circumsisioning and i enjoyed some joyful time with them.

The photos of Male' like zooming to presidential palace from above and watching its swimming pool, near by places like villigili, hulhumale' , Aaaaaarah, int aiport, thilafushi, very intresting stuff.
Also Hanimadhoo map taken on mid time of day makes the Map look really gr8.
The sad part is some islands cannot be zoomed because its still not taken in a high resolution image, example the haa.alif dhidhoo,(island office with fish dumped), really wanted to have a peak at that place. Here's the dhidhoo overlay. In google earth Haa.daal islands can be seen. The time and dates option is also seen so we know how update the photos are.

National security mite also b risked by this stuff but hope not.

Tonite all alone in my section, came office with Mrs going to buy a new touchscreen phone popular in maldives but shop stil not open and now nothing to do.

i found a rare pic in one of the office pc

A 2 rufiya note. Old memories, its also got good value in ebay for money collectors.
btw paypal have include maldives but cudnt get my visa card to accept. Tried many times but luck still, any info is welcome.

Its been sometime since i havent written here but i'l try to makeup.. well .. my news is i went for a workshop last week and it turned out to be very interesting 4 me. Thats the good news but the bad news is Fate had been against me for twodays and now Im in a jam... Nothing else to do , i've to spend these following days here stuck here near the comp.
Im planning to go on a trip to India soon with my family so Im going to be a litle buzy soon. :D

Tonite I looked into this freePH site and browsed myself in to here..
In my opinion .. what 2 say,huh?
Yesterday had trouble slyping coz had to go for a class in hulhule abt terro..
finally when i came home around evening all i cud think was when cud i see my bed.. (a gud sleep at last)

Wokeup and went to youth challenge with buddy mr45, who is a Irc phreak..
Had some FUN there chatting with bitunthakaa..oh,yes!
From there i got a call from Mclyn dear, her sis abt to get married so just being excited abt something but i was too busy to listen.. (she never talked abt it later when i met her- kinda hurt her)
Now as a conclusion Im here in office... cya
